Goalkeeper ‘Spider’ rejoined Avenue for a third spell in October this year following his release by Chester. The Bradford-born stopper has had two spells at the Horsfall Stadium in the past, between 2005 and 2006 before a longer stint between 2007 and 2009. Returning in March 2007, Worsnop incredibly missed just two games up to the end of the 2008-9 season, playing in 115 out of a possible 117 cup and league matches. In 2008-09 he was the only ever-present appearing in all 50 matches, and he left the club having won the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year award in 2009. That was after spells at Chester, Aberystwyth Town, Droylsden, Leigh Genesis, Witton Albion and Ossett Town, Worsnop coming through the ranks at Bradford City and making one league appearance for the Bantams. He moved to Guiseley from the Horsfall, before a two-year stint at Worksop Town. From there he moved to FC United of Manchester and then to Alfreton Town before joining Chester in 2014. Worsnop has made 80 appearances in the Conference/National League at the Deva Stadium since.
