Bradford Park Avenue host a speaker’s evening this Wednesday with BBC journalist Harry Gration.

The evening, to be held in the clubhouse at the Horsfall Stadium, will be compèred by Avenue fan and legendary football commentator John Helm.

Tickets to the evening are just £10 and include a free hot supper.

The bar in the clubhouse will be open, and the event commences at 7.30pm sharp.

Bradford-born Gration has been a presenter of the BBC’s local news show Look North since 1984, taking a five-year break in 1994.

He has worked on Match of the Day, Grandstand and coverage of the Olympic Games during an illustrious career which has seen him earn an MBE for his services to broadcasting.

A man with many many tales, Harry also travelled with Avenue last year on the trip to Contalmaison, where the club took part in a charity match and visited the memorial of Donald Bell VC.

It is the plan to show some footage from the trip on the large projector at Horsfall during the evening as the club continues to remember a true legend.
