Bradford Park Avenue stormed into the third qualifying round with a clinical 3-0 win over Southport.

Adam Boyes opened the scoring just 16 minutes when he got on the end of a good move through himself and Wayne Brooksby before Oli Johnson set the perfect lay-off for Boyes to add yet another goal to his ever-growing tally this season.

And Avenue had a second just two minutes later as great play from Graham Kelly saw him cross for Johnson who finished well on the half volley.

Just after half time Bradford sealed the victory as Brooksby beat his man again before Johnson forced a save from Mark Halstead, the ball falling to Boyes whose low cross-shot was touched home by Javan Vidal.

The visitors controlled the match throughout, and the victory never looked in danger as Mark Bower’s men made it eight games unbeaten, with a fifth win in that spell.
