Bradford Park Avenue made it six games unbeaten but it was two points dropped against 10-man Nuneaton Town.

The visitors opened the scoring six minutes in with the simplest of goals, Billy Daniels being played in behind before squaring to Tom Elliott who couldn’t miss.

But Avenue found their feet and after having a strong penalty appeal turned down, Oli Johnson drew the hosts level as he rifled home following a short corner.

Just after the break the away side hit the bar, Brady Hickey meeting Daniel Nti’s cross but his header cannoned off the top of the bar when he should have scored.

Nuneaton were reduced to 10 men early in the second half as debutant Joel Dielna was shown his second yellow card for bringing down Adam Boyes who was through on goal.

Bradford were then handed an even greater chance to take the lead as referee Leigh Doughty awarded a penalty for handball, but Nicky Wroe’s effort flew a long way over the crossbar.

And despite the man advantage Avenue just couldn’t find the winner, Mark Ross coming closest as he hit the post with a late header.
